Whist Drives and Bingo The regular whist drives on a monthly basis have continued, though attendances have been lower as some regulars have been unable to take part, however the Annual Christmas Whist had a similar attendance to previous years. We are aware that there are many within the community able to play whist but unfortunately have yet to respond to previous invitations. It would be very disappointing if these regular events (of many years) failed through lack of support. In the run up to Christmas, the two annual bingos were again well-supported. The combined value of prizes was in excess of £400, including ten turkeys, and a dozen chickens. The next bingo is planned for Friday, April 16, 2004 in the Village Hall in aid of St Michael's Fayre.
