| Minutes of a meeting of Spreyton Parish Council held in the Village Hall on Wednesday 16th July 2008 at 7.30 pm. Present: W Porritt (Chairman), C Lott (Vice Chairman), R Henderson, E Osborn-Hodge, and C Wootton (Clerk). Also P Ridgers (Borough Councillor). Member of public: Mr B Everett. 1 Apologies: Z Smith (work), E Collins (cricket scoring). Absent: B Cunningham. 2 Minutes of the last meeting 21st May 2008. 2.1 Having been previously circulated the minutes were agreed and signed. 3 Matters arising: None. 4 Interests in agenda items: 4.1 The Chairman had an interest in matters to be considered in item 11. 4.2 Cllr Henderson declared his specific interest in item6. 5 Local Government Review for Devon 5.1 If the status quo cannot be retained the Council's preferred option would be for a single Devon unitary council. 5.2 The matter will be considered again at the next meeting. 6 Den Brook Valley Wind Farm 6.1 A further sum in excess off 20k has-been raised to meet possible liabilities re the Court of Appeal hearing. 6.2 It was unanimously resolved to make a further donation of £100 to the DB Judicial Review Fund. Proposed by Cllr Lott and seconded by Cllr Osborn-Hodge. 7 Removal of BT Payphones. 7.1 The Council would formally oppose the proposal to remove the payphone at Cross Meadow. 8 Amendments to Register of Interests 8.1 None of the Councillors present had any amendments to declare. 9 Annual review of Clerk's salary 9.1 It was resolved to increase the annual salary to £625. 10 Link Committee 10.1 The next meeting was on 17th July at South Tawton. Cllr Lott will attend. 11 Planning matters 11.1 The Chairman withdrew from the meeting as he had interests in the proposals to be discussed. 11.2 An application has been made for alterations to agreed extensions at Hollycombe Bungalow, Mr K Barber - supported. 11.3 An application has been submitted by Mr & Mrs Grimley for change of use of the existing shop at Corner Cottage to a residential dwelling - supported. 12 Accounts to pay: None.
