CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE continued

The Village Trust itself is responsible for the upkeep of the Village Hall, the Playing Field, Tennis Court and the Cricket Field.  The Trustees are made up of representatives from the Clubs that use the Hall, be it the School, the WI, the Badminton Club etc, the Tennis Club ,and Cricket Club.  All clubs are actively seeking new members, so come and join in. Anyone in the Village who would like to become a Trustee would be welcomed to do so.    If you would like to know more then please give me a call.

We have various events throughout the year, some for charity and some raising funds.

The Methodist Church have their weekly service here. All these things don’t happen without people giving up their time to run them for which we are very grateful, and our thanks are due to our  caretaker, Clifford.

We have been able to run last Autumn the events which Spreyton is well-known for, Flower Show, Harvest Supper, Senior Citizens’ Luncheon and Christmas Dance, all very successful.

Remember for £10, the meeting room can be hired for a 2-hour session. We also have excellent facilities for a celebration,  dinner, concert, or dinner/dance.
